The Ranier Municipal Liquor is located on Spruce Street in the Ranier town center. The "Muni" has an on-sale bar and also offers off-sale liquor, beer and wine. The "Muni" is a classic small town community establishment where you can converse with the locals. Ranier has had a Municipal Liquor Store since 1944 when it was located in the cloakroom of the Ranier Community Building. In 1948, the "Muni" was relocated to its current location.
BUSINESS HOURS
The "Muni" is open for business from 9:00 am to 1:00 am Monday-Saturday and 11:00 am to 12:00 am on Sunday. Off-sale business is restricted to 9:00 am to 10:00 pm Monday through Saturday and between 11:00 am and 6:00 pm on Sunday. No off-sale purchases are allowed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or after 8:00 pm on Christmas Eve.
DART AND POOL TEAMS
The "Muni" hosts a winter dart league and a pool league and sponsors participating teams. Inquire at the Muni for game nights, schedules and participation.
PULL-TABS
Paper and electronic pull-tabs are sold at the Muni. All proceeds benefit the gambling license owner, the Ranier Recreation Club.

A MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE
The Ranier Municipal Liquor Store is owned and operated by the City of Ranier in accordance with Minnesota Statute section 340A.601. Its profits can be used to supplement the general revenue of the municipality. In 2014, $40,000 was contributed to the City of Ranier's General Fund which helped to re-roof the Ranier Community Building and to build the Jameson Dock on Rainy River!
